Similar to President-elect Rodrigo Duterte who plans to team up with Facebook to broadcast a live stream of his inauguration, Leni Robredo has considered modest plans for her cermony on June 30.
She will take her oath at the Quezon City Reception House, the former “Boracay Mansion,” the controversial property of the former president Joseph Estrada.
Inquirer.net also reports on how Leni chose the place as she found the Coconut Palace, where Jejomar Binay had his inaguration, too lavish. Other details such as the gown and the menu have yet to be discussed, albeilt false menu photos that circulated the social media sphere.
After the oath-taking, Leni will be holding a gathering with her supporters at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
We hope this preference for all things low-key and simple continues on as Leni assumes and carries out the duties of the Office of the Vice-President.
