Today in infuriating senators, Manny Pacquiao will reportedly take a leave from Senate soon to train for his next boxing match.
Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank, says that he’s scouting for Manny’s next opponent and how Manny will be excused from his duties as newly-elected senator of the Republic of the Philippines. (I had to say it formally because Manny seems to think that being a senator is NBD)
Last April, Manny announced his retirement from boxing to give way for his aspirations in Philippine politics. His congressional career and senatorial campaign have been repeatedly slammed due to lack in performance and experience.
Manny, you’ve barely been inaugurated and now you want to take a leave? It feels like you’ve already cheated the people who voted for you. But, really, if you want to keep pursuing boxing, why are you still insisting on being public official in the first place?
