Jennifer Aniston Smashed Pregnancy Rumors in a Furious Essay

Jennifer Aniston snapped and addressed rumors to her pregnancy through an essay posted on Huffington Post. “For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up.” Fed up of what, you ask?

Jennifer’s career has been followed by the people all over the world, most of the time through paparazzi photos and tabloid stories, and it looks like they can’t quit. “I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of “journalism,” the “First Amendment” and “celebrity news,” she wrote.

She finds the objectification and the scrutiny that women go through absurd and disturbing. She also points out how we view her life the same way we perceive the women in our lives, including young girls “measured against some warped standard of beauty.” And remember, they bring mindsets like these until they enter womanhood.

Not only did Jennifer point out how we all objectify women, she also shared something that every person should understand and that is about a woman’s worth―at least how that’s I view it. Women are complete on their own and are free to do whatever she wishes, and that applies whether she decides to be a wife and/or a mother.

“We are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone. Let’s make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples.”

So stop. Stop looking out for Jennifer Aniston’s imaginary baby bump (don’t worry, she’ll let you know when it’s legit!) and stop scrutinizing women altogether.
