Tito Sotto Says He Didn’t Intend to Victim-Shame Their Guest on TV

Senator Tito Sotto has finally reacted on the reception of his victim-shaming incident last weekend.

In a recent interview, Tito says he had no intention to humiliate and hurt the feelings of their female contestant. “It was a simple reaction saying that a married lady should not be out at night having shots (or drinking) with men other than her husband,” he says. What an outdated perception of how women should act around men.

The woman, who was on Eat Bulaga last Saturday, told the story of how she was taken advantage of while having drinks with male friends. She was then scolded by Tito and his co-hosts for drinking and wearing short shorts.

Yup, a simple reaction that received the ire of thousands of people and an appointment with the MTRCB. Sounds about right.
