If there’s anybody in this world who can bare their all and still look and feel confident, it would definitely be writer and director Lena Dunham and actress Jemima Kirk—the girls from Girls. They recently proved it again by staring in Lonely Lingerie’s most recent campaign. And get this, everything is unretouched!
Lonely is a body-positive lingerie and swimwear line from New Zealand. Their goal is to create pieces “that embraces and empowers women.” Instead of the usual sexy, come-hither lingerie campaigns that show incredibly skinny (and unrealistic) models, Lonely decided to bring their collections to life by producing a journal-slash-campaign called Lonely Girls Project, which feature real women from all over the world wearing their choice of Lonely lingerie.
“Instead of being objectified, the women who participate in these campaigns—in this case, Lena and Jemima—are empowered and exhibit real beauty that will hopefully help women everywhere feel a little more liberated.” And they could’ve not said it better!
