Girls Who Documented Their #Blessed Travels on Social Media Got Busted for Smuggling Cocaine

Melina Roberge and Isabelle Lagace of Canada were having a merry time on their cruise from Southhampton, UK to Sydney, Australia until they were caught with $22 million worth of cocaine.

The 20-year-old girls documented their #blessed travels on social media and seemed to be the opposite of shady drug dealers you’d see on TV and in “Wanted” postings. They were just two girls on a vacation, taking outfit shots and checking off items in their #bucketlist. Until they were caught at the Sydney border with 200 pounds of cocaine in their luggage. If found guilty, they will be facing a life sentence in prison.

So maybe it’s just one of those weird instances that life becomes poetic. On your way to incarceration or a very cruel mix up, might as well seize your days in the sun and go down with a #selfie or two. It also sounds like a version of the story in Orange is the New Black.
