WATCH: VP Leni Robredo on Why She Wants to Keep International Relations Strain-Free

Vice President Leni Robredo shared some of her thoughts given the tirades of President Rodrigo Duterte gave against the United States, European Union, and the United Nations, who criticize his war against drugs. There is concern from Robredo’s side, but she said that she hopes and prays everything turns out for the better. After all, the Philippines (no matter how strong) can’t stand on its own—we do still need the support of the international community. She also stressed how important good relations are to us.

So far, she said that the ones who have promised to support the Philippines from the very beginning still continue to do so, and in fact are very excited to collaborate and work with us. And quite frankly, that is really good to hear.

When she says she’s praying it doesn’t get worse—we stand right there with her.
