From the lanterns we hang to the gifts we place under the Christmas tree, we celebrate the holidays with the beautiful things that get us through the past year. This is perhaps what SM Megamall had in mind with their 30-foot Christmas tree installation right in the middle of the Mega Fashion Hall—where beautiful gowns are on display to express the finest in Filipino artistry. Tastefully done in white and gold, the towering tree features mannequins decked in dresses created by the country’s most prestigious designers: Ivar Aseron, Rhett Eala, Jun Escario, Rajo Laurel, Francis Libiran, Dennis Lustico, Yvette and Choc Religioso, Joey Samson, and Cary Santiago. The tree even got a nod from The Huffington Post as one of The Most Breathtaking, Inspiring Christmas Trees of 2016.
The tree was unveiled with the “Sky of Snow: A Christmas Circus Show” – a special performance of acrobatic acts from around the globe. At the event were guest personalities Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Cat Arambulo-Antonio, and Mikaela Martinez-Lagdameo.
The tree will be on display all throughout the Christmas season, alongside other surprises such as Estée Lauder and Jo Malone pop-up shops at the Mega Fashion Hall.
Children can also take part in the excitement with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Event Center until Dec. 31, and the Santa Meet & Greet every Sunday this December at the Mega Atrium.
