Why Did James Taylor Cancel His Manila Concert?

Updated on Dec. 22, 2:16 p.m.

Our not-so-reliable netizen Mocha Uson took to her Facebook to send a message to James Taylor regarding how he canceled his Manila concert due to the extra-judicial killings.

Mocha, your opinion on being gullible and doing your research applies to you more than Mr. Taylor. Perhaps you did have something reasonable to say except you even attacked him by saying his concert isn’t selling any tickets, hence the cancellation.

Low-blow, Mocha. Just like what you did to VP Robredo over that magazine cover, you’re attacking someone personally and unprovoked. It’s going to be a new year soon, Mocha. Try to add a few of the things we mentioned to your resolutions list.

If we allow for the unjust killings and ignoring the due process, we cannot have nice things.  This is why Grammy award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee James Taylor canceled his Manila concert last night.

The musician made it clear on social media that the decision is out of taking a stand against the extra judicial killings in our country.

James was set to play at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Feb. 25 as part of his ongoing world tour. He will still pursue his other show dates in other countries because they follow the due process as much as they can there.
