How to Watch the Oscars the Right Way

Raise your hand if you hate waking up extra early but want to watch the Oscars tomorrow morning.

Seriously though, watching the Academy Awards every year is exciting because you get to root for your favorite films and actors. Think of the feeling as when we all wanted Leonardo DiCaprio to win his first Oscar. Plus, it’s the one Monday affair that we love waking up to. (Come on, admit it.)

To enhance your Oscars experience in the comforts of your home, note down these tips.

#1 Dress comfortably

Nothing like watching an awards show in your PJs and messy bun. Get cozy in these H&M cotton pajamas before getting up and prep for work. Fluffy slippers are optional.  Available at SM Makati.

#2 Set up your viewing space

The Oscars is going to take a while so you’ll need to pile on some pillows on your couch or bed. A couple (or three or four) of this Classic Down Pillow from Pottery Barn is just what you need. Available at Estancia Mall.

#3 Grab a snack

It can either be breakfast food, a bowl of popcorn, or trail mix. Just make sure you don’t spill them when you start cheering for your faves.

#4 Drink up

Brew a cup of Yardstick Coffee’s Legazpi blend or steep Dilmah’s Ceylon Green Tea to get you going in the morning. You can even pour a glass of champagne or make a bellini if you’re feeling fancy. That’s also a good way to start a game like taking a shot every time someone mentions Trump.

#5 Prep your skin

Feel relaxed and makeup-ready while streaming the Oscars with a sheet mask like the La Mer Hydrating Facial Mask. It’s a fuss-free way to multi-task your skincare. Available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source.
