The iPhone 8 isn’t out yet, but Apple revealed another surprise. Last night, they announced a special-edition red iPhone 7.
It will be available in iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models, and only in 128 GB and 256 GB storage options. The price will start at $749 for the iPhone 7 and $869 for 7 Plus.
Meanwhile, there are no new software features included in the phone. The only difference is it has a red aluminum case.
This is Apple’s first red phone, made in support of the (RED) organization, which supports AIDS prevention and research. A portion of the proceeds from the phone will go to the program.
In the past, they’ve put out products such as red iPads, iPods, and gold EarPods to support (RED). According to a press statement, Apple has raised $130 million so far.
The red iPhone 7 will be available on March 24 (two days from now!) in Apple Stores, Apple website, and other authorized retailers worldwide. Will you be getting one?
