Spotted in Milan: Kenneth Cobonpue’s Chair Among British Couture

Milan Design Week’s Furiosalone kicks off today with various events including an exhibit from top Filipino furniture label Kenneth Cobonpue. Not much of a big deal perhaps until you realize the exhibit is a collab between Kenneth and couture label Vivienne Westwood.

Vivienne Westwood’s participation in the Furiosalone features pieces from Kenneth Cobonpue’s Woven Jungle Collection in its Milan boutique. Spot Kenneth’s Bloom chair in the window display and The Dragnet Chair between the racks of Westwood’s latest collection. Previously, Inquirer.net got a hold of Kenneth in Milan when the collab was first announced. “I was surprised when her staff emailed me to say they wanted my furniture,” shared Kenneth. “I guess the quirky, whimsical designs suited them.”

Kenneth’s designs often take from silhouttes found in nature, from bamboo stalks to even an elephant, which he integrated into a working desk. Kenneth’s received acclaim from international organizations while a few of pieces found their way in the homes of Brad Pitt and Kendall Jenner.

Milanese label Midsummer also stars in the exhibit with linens, beds, and other home accessories.

Congratulations, Kenneth!
