Cher just confirmed that the Broadway musical based on her life is pushing through and is set to debut next year. The 71-year-old singer shared the news via Twitter.

The musical will be based on Cherâs beginnings in Los Angeles and how she dropped out of school at 16 to pursue her musical career. It also looks like it will be a formidable show as it will be produced by the same producers of Hamilton.
No word yet on the cast and who will ultimately play Cher onstage.
Cher recently proved that sheâs still got it at the Billboard Music Awards. She performed a few of her greatest hits in the costumes she had at the height of her career. Read: She still fits in the clothes she had in her 20s.
