Gal Gadot Is Making Flats a New Red Carpet Trend

Since Wonder Woman premiered, Gal Gadot became one of the most talked-about women for the past few weeks. Topics ranged from her stint as Miss Israel 2004 to shooting a scene while five months pregnant. Now it seems that the actress is starting a fashion trend: wearing flats on the red carpet.

During her recent press tour, Gal showed up in a glittery red Givenchy dress and paired it with $50 Aldo sandals. “I want to create this trend of doing red carpets in flats,” she told USA Today. “I love wearing high heels, it’s beautiful, it’s sexy, whatever. But at the same time, especially stilettos, it puts us out of balance. We can fall any minute. It’s not good for our backs. Why do we do it?”

We ask the same question too sometimes, TBH. But if you think about it, Gal’s right. Wearing heels for a long time can cause a number of health concerns like lower back pain, ankle sprains, and unnatural spinal curve. So we’re looking at her recent fashion looks and cop flats that are similar to her favorites.

As mentioned earlier, she chose Aldo sandals for a red carpet appearance. The strappy flats can work with jeans, shorts, or in Gal’s case, elegant gowns.

Just like many of us, Gal loves a good pair of black ballerina flats. Before her interview for AOL Build, she was seen wearing a blush pink dress with pointed Christian Loubotin flats. The whole look gives us a girl-next-door feel, a different vibe from her badass superhero character.

During the interview, Gal changed into a quaint white dress and studded Loubotin peep-toe flats. You can wear a pair like these at job interviews, late-night events, or just a regular day in the office. Also, you don’t have to opt for something with studs and just go with a style that looks classy.

A long Prada evening gown at Wonder Woman‘s Mexico premiere hid the fact that she was wearing comfy platform flipflops. Stylist Elizabeth Stewart revealed this “lil secret” on her Instagram account, writing that Gal was wearing black sandals from Rocket Dog Footwear. This is great way to add some height without compromising comfort.

Nothing says off-duty than with a pair of white slip-on sneakers. Gal pulls this off effortlessly while walking the streets of New York in a blue striped dress. A fresh look for an ordinary day out.
