Looks like Hillary Clinton is back on her feet after losing the presidential run. She’s written a book and going on a round of interviews to tell everyone what happened during and after the US elections. She’s also candid about Russia’s involvement and how misogynistic Vladimir Putin is towards her.
In an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Hillary said she’s certain that Putin has a “personal grudge” against her. She also recounted the time she experienced his sexism firsthand.
Hillary said that every time she would meet Putin, he would “manspread” and look uninterested. “I always came into my meetings with him, trying to find something that I could actually engage him about,” she said. “We went through the economy, human rights, and all these other things that are critically important. And he was, as Pres. Obama once said, like the bored guy in the back of the room who couldn’t care less.”
When she brought up wildlife conservation, Putin “came alive” and showed her where he’s going to tag polar bears. “Then he says to me, ‘Would your husband like to come?'” Not subtle at all, Vlad.
But Hillary remains lighthearted about the experience and even offered advice for Trump. Especially after his first speech at the United Nations. “Your first approach should always be diplomatic. What I wish the president had said is something along the lines of ‘We view this as dangerous to our allies, to the region, and even our country,'” she said. “You should lead with diplomacy. You should lead with the commitment to avoid conflict however you can.”
Stay strong and outspoken, Hillary.
