Philippines Nabs Top Three Spots in World’s Best Islands List

Condè Nast Traveler declares Boracay, Cebu, and Palawan as the top three best islands in the world respectively.

Boracay is the first on the list given its “gentle coastlines and transportative sunsets.” It also got a nod for its popping nightlife.

Cebu and the Visayan islands came in second and are revered for its more “personal” vibe along with how it is the hub for up-and-coming restaurants. Speaking of which, may we suggest The Pig and Palm?

Rounding up the top three is Palawan, which Travel + Leisure declares as the best island in their list. For Condè Nast, it’s a must-visit because of the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River. This is one of seven natural wonders of the world where you can marvel at rock formations to add to your usual beach activities.

The results are part of the publication’s Readers Choice Awards which involve around 300,000 participants. Despite other popular destinations like Sardinia, Italy, Mallorca, Spain, and Bali, Indonesia, it seems like vacationers can’t get enough of the Philippines.
