4 Things to Do While You Wait for Ed Sheeran’s Manila Concert

Ed Sheeran fans, you just have to wait a little while longer to see him perform live because unfortunately, he just rescheduled his Manila show from Nov. 7 of this year to April 8, 2018. He also said that his visit to Japan will be moved next year. Sadly, his shows in Taipei, Hong Kong, and Jakarta will be cancelled (oh no!) because of conflicts in schedule. He assured his fans that he and his team are working very hard to push through with his Asian tour. “I haven’t cancelled a show before. This is a difficult thing to do, but I can’t physically play at the moment. It’s [of] utmost importance to get my arms healed so I can play, hopefully, for the rest of my life,” he said on video. As you can recall, he was recently in an accident when a car hit his bike while he was riding in London.

No worries, Ed. We’re pretty sure all of your fans will be waiting and anticipating!

For now, here are a few activities or shows you can catch while you wait for April 8 to arrive. You’re welcome.

Catch a local play

Are you a big fan of OPM and nostalgia? Then we’ve found a play just for you. I Remember a Boy is an original musical that stars a group of friends, it shares the story of how their friendship grew, how they fell in love, how they broke up, and so on. You’ll never know, you might just meet a character that you can relate to the most. Tickets for the Nov. 11 and Nov. 12 shows are available through TicketWorld.

Watch an international band perform live

I can still vividly remember the first time The xx visited the Philippines, and now they’ll be back for another round. The indie pop brand will be performing on Feb. 7, 2018 at the World Trade Center, so get ready to sing along to their new tunes as well as your old-time favorites. Tickets are available through TicketNet.

Book your seats for the world’s #1 musical

In case you did not hear, The Lion King will have their run in Manila on March 2018 at The Theatre of Solaire. The show boasts of great music (I mean c’mon, you’ll surely sing along!) and breath-taking production onstage, so you clearly can’t miss out on this. Priority booking for VISA cardholders and Globe users can now book through TicketWorld.

Sing and dance along to Ed Sheeran’s complete discography

To get you through until summer of next year, just listen to all of Ed Sheeran’s albums on loop. No one will judge and that will also get you ready to sing along to each and every song he’ll be performing live. You’ll never know, he might pick you from the audience and have a duet.
