We’re almost there, guys and gals. We’re nearing the Christmas break and we’re all scrambling to get things done. Before you catch your flights and shut down your computers at work, there are some things you can do to fully prepare for the days to come. To make sure you’re ready to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Day, here are some tips to get you organized.
Put your phone down
Aside from taking a social media break, this is a good time to stop staring at your smartphone screen. Have some actual interaction with people and face-to-face conversations. Spend some time with friends you haven’t seen and family you rarely get to see.
Finish all your work
Here at the Preen.ph HQ, we’re trying to get all deliverables done so we don’t have work during the Christmas break. Set a schedule for the coming days and give yourself enough time to finish everything. Skipping out on some parties this week to work might be worth it for the coming days.
Set your plans
From dinners to reunions, and even just catching up with friends, make sure you have your schedule planned out. Write it in your planner or add it to your phone’s calendar so you don’t forget.
Stock up on snacks
Aside from taking lots of naps, I’m going to be spending my break in bed, catching up on TV series and eating lots of snacks. To make sure you have hours of uninterrupted me-time, stock up on your favorite chips and chocolate for your all-day binge sessions.
Turn off your alarms
Everyone’s favorite part about the holidays is not having to set an alarm for the next day. Switch off your alarms these coming days and give yourself some time to sleep in.
Finish Christmas gift shopping (and wrapping)
You still have a few days left to finish shopping for your list. We don’t blame you if haven’t finished yet. If you’re stuck on what to give your family and friends, you can check our gift guide series for some ideas.
