Guess who’s in Manila? “Billionaire” rapper and former Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy. And one of Hinge’s own staffers unexpectedly bumped into him at the mall.
Danica Condez, associate art director for Southern Living Magazine and NoliSoli.ph, said she saw Travie while eating at Ogetsu Hime, SM Megamall. “At first I didn’t want to believe [my boyfriend] Tristan when he told me that it was Travie who came in. He looked so different,” she told Preen.
She then approached him and asked for a photo. “We weren’t able to ask why he’s in Manila. But I saw on Instagram that he attended a baptism.”
A few days ago, Travie posted a photo at the said baptism at Shangri-La Place in Mandaluyong City. The father of the baby, Joshua Honculada, also shared a photo of Travie’s performance in Sapangbato, Pampanga.
Travie was also spotted singing “Billionaire” with the locals in Angeles City.
On his Instagram Live, Travie said that he celebrated Christmas here in the Philippines and will likely spend New Year here too. Who knows? Maybe another fan will see him at an NYE party somewhere tonight. Or, he can stay for a few more months to perform with Bruno Mars in May.
