Leila Alcasid is following her dad’s footsteps as she’s set to release her first single. We also got a sneak preview of it in one of the videos during her press conference.
In a video posted by her mom Michelle van Eimeren, Leila posed for photos with her dad and manager (dadager?) Ogie Alcasid. You’ll also hear snippets of Leila’s song “Complete in Love” in the background.
Leila officially signed to Star Music yesterday. Star Cinema reports that Ogie also got emotional as he watched his eldest daughter get into the music business. “I remember I started when I was your age. Parang nag-full circle,” he said. “It’s her time. It makes me so happy na nakikita ko ‘yun. So joyful, so blessed, so thankful. I’m really grateful to ABS-CBN that they gave her this chance, because she is very talented. She’s very smart, kind, she’s very humble.”
“Complete in Love” will be released on Spotify on Feb. 23. Leila said that it’s going to be a “relaxed, light, and bubbly” type of pop song, just like the rest of her upcoming music. So it’s safe to say that it might become one of many summer anthems.
Now we want to see her and Claudia Barretto in a show together once they release their respective albums. How about you?
