Kim Cattrall Denies Sarah Jessica Parker’s Friendship

Sex and the City fans may be disappointed to know that the gal pals aren’t friends in real life but Kim Cattrall wants to make it crystal clear. After Sarah Jessica Parker offered her condolences following the death of Kim’s brother, she took to Instagram and posted a photo that said, “I don’t need your love and support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker.”

She expounded her point in the caption, “Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.” Kim also added a link to a New York Post article about the mean girls culture on the set of Sex and the City.

On the death of Kim’s brother, Sarah told Entertainment Tonight, “If somebody in your life, whether you’re in touch with them or not, [is] suffering for any reason, it’s involuntary that you want to convey condolences or sadness or just let someone know you’re thinking about them.” Kim, of course, disagrees and has squashed rumors of there ever being another Sex and the City movie.
