K-Pop Star and 100% Lead Vocalist Seo Min-woo Dies at 33

100% lead singer Seo Min-woo, most popularly known as Minwoo, was found dead in his apartment in Gangnam, Seoul last Sunday night, March 25. Local media reports suggest that the cause of death might be cardiac arrest.

The group’s management TOP Media also released a statement through their website and was translated by IB Times. “This is TOP Media. We apologize for delivering this sudden and heartbreaking news. Our artist 100% Minwoo left our side,” it read. “His family, 100% members, TOP Media colleague artists, and staff members are all grief-stricken and mourning due to the unexpected sad news.”

They also shared more about Minwoo’s character and what he brought to the group, “As the oldest member of his team, Minwoo led his members. Because everyone who knows Minwoo is aware of his kindheartedness and faithfulness, the sadness is even greater. His funeral will be carried out quietly in respect to his family’s wishes.”

Minwoo was recently featured on the band’s Japanese EP called Song For You just last month and as The Korea Herald reports is scheduled to have a concert tour in Japan on April 21 and 30. Currently, the agency hasn’t released a statement on whether they will be postponing or not.
