The Kensington Palace has announced the name of royal baby number three: Louis Arthur Charles. “The baby will be known Prince Louis of Cambridge,” they said. Cute!

Just a few hours after being admitted to the hospital, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has given birth to her third baby. And it’s a boy!

The Kensington Palace made the announcement on Twitter, saying that the baby was born on 11:01 a.m. and weighs 8 lbs, 7 oz. Prince William was present during the birth and both Kate and the baby are doing well.

There’s no news yet of the baby’s name, but since he’s born on St. George’s Day (April 23), will he have the same name as his older brother? Or perhaps he’ll be named Jack? Guess we’ll have to wait for now. (Watch this space for updates!)

Since Kate has given birth to a boy, he is now fifth in line to the throne. This also pushes Prince Harry to be sixth in line.

Congratulations, Kate and William!
