It’s not a surprise to many that Prince Harry asked Duke of Cambridge Prince William to be his best man for his May wedding. What got our attention was how he allegedly did it and what William plans to do during the reception.
While talking to reporters at the Greenhouse Center charity event in London, Prince Harry joked that he “got down one knee” to ask his older brother. He also added, “He’s known for months.”
The Kensington Palace also made the announcement on their social media accounts. They posted a series of photos of the royal siblings looking dapper in suits, as well as a cute throwback photo.
Prince William said that he’s “thrilled and delighted” to be the best man. If you remember, Prince Harry was his best man when he got married to Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton in 2011. He also hinted that “revenge will be sweet” during Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle.
We’re not sure what he meant by that but Prince Harry once said in 2011 that his speech would “dig [Prince William] in the ribs a few times and embarrass him” and “make him lose some hair.” Maybe Prince William is planning on doing the same?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding will happen on May 19 at the St. George’s Chapel. More than 600 guests are expected to attend the ceremony while 200 have been invited to the reception. Are you excited? Because we are! Especially for Prince William’s speech.
