Michael Phelps may be one of the most known and popular athletes but that’s about to change. Earlier this week a Filipino-American broke his long-standing record.
10-year-old Clark Kent Apuada, aptly nicknamed Superman, joined the Far West International Championship in California. There he swam the 100-meter butterfly at 1:09:38. Michael’s record was 1:10:48, which he clocked in back in 1995.
But, he didn’t just beat Michael’s record, he also won every event that he competed in. We can definitely learn a lot from him when it comes to working hard. In an interview he said, “Dream big and always focus on your dreams and have fun.”
Congratulations, Clark! We can’t wait to see what other records you’ll break in the future.
