Mocha Uson claps back at critics of Federalism video

Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson and social media personality Drew Olivar bites back at critics over a video posted on Mocha Uson Blog which aims to educate people on Federalism. Olivar posted his response through Facebook, saying,

(It’s your minds that are dirty. There are a lot of trivia in the video; a lot of good things said about federalism, why are you only focusing [on the dance]?”

Drew Olivar, who was also the co-host and guest in that particular Good News Game Show episode, started the show with a dance accompanied by a chant, “Ipepe, ipepe. Idede, idede. Ipede, pede, pede, pederalismo!”

The video was part of Mocha’s efforts to promote federalism. Among the prominent reactions of netizens was distress over the supposed P90 million budget allocated for the information drive. Mocha, however, clarified that no public funds were used for the video. “Wala pong inilabas na pera dito sa video na ito o sa game show na ito. Walang pera, walang budget, hindi po binayaran si Drew,” she said (There were no funds used for this game show; no funds, no budget. Drew wasn’t paid for it). She also emphasized that she isn’t the spokesperson or ambassadress for federalism, but merely a helping hand for its social media campaign.

Referring to this budget in his response, Olivar said, “Parang may sinabi na, ‘diyan lang ba napunta yung P90 million?‘ Hindi pa nga nabibigay ‘yung budget di ba? Hoy para sabihin ko sa inyo. Hindi ako nababayaran dahil mayaman ako” (They said, ‘Is that where the P90 million goes?’ The budget isn’t even with us yet. And let me tell you, I’m not after the pay because I already have money.)
