The midweek holiday is a fake weekend we never knew we needed

It’s the start of another week but tomorrow we will all be greeted by a holiday, which means no work. Tuesday is a holiday so you have free time to do pretty much anything you want but don’t forget that you have to get back to business come Wednesday.

Since this break sits awkwardly in the middle of the week, you might not be sure of what you should do. To make things easier, we listed some activities you can do. They’ll have you feeling relaxed and ready to get back to work.

Catch up on work

People usually take a break when there’s no work but if you have nothing planned and you’re motivated, why not get some stuff done? You can finish deliverables in advance or work on projects that need extra time and effort on. And, since you’ll be at home, you can work in a chill environment.

Day trip

Take a break from the city and head somewhere for the day or maybe even overnight. Gather your friends or family and map out a quick trip that everyone can enjoy. Don’t forget to stock up on some snacks, put a playlist together, and unwind. You can even put your phone away to enjoy the full experience.

Staycation

Relax at a home away from home aka hotel. Book a staycation and take advantage of their amenities. Go for a swim, hit the gym, and get treatments at their spa. If you still can’t decide where to stay, you can base it on their breakfast buffets.

Redecorate

Take this free time to redecorate your space. We’re more than halfway through the year so you might want some change. You can even take inspiration from Solenn Heussaff. We also have recommendations for your bathroom and living room.

Thrifting

Have you always wanted to go thrifting but never had the time? This might just be your chance. Thrifting is a long process so having a whole day to do it is great. You can also bring your friends with you and make it a bonding experience. If you’re not sure how to go about it, Kimi Juan gave us some tips.
