Korean group BTS just broke another record. According to BBC, they have been on the number one spot of Billboard’s Social 50 chart in the US for 57 weeks straight.
They have officially beat out the original record holder Justin Bieber who was at number one for 56 weeks. “The Billboard Social 50 is a popularity chart which ranks active musical artists on the world’s leading social networking services.”
BBC explained that this chart looks at page views, weekly song plays, and weekly addition of followers. As of writing, the group has 12.3 million followers on Instagram and 15.9 million followers on Twitter.
With their popularity, those numbers are sure to grow. Congratulations, BTS!
