Catriona Gray’s lava walk and dress has become so popular, someone might have copied it. During this year’s Miss Intercontinental pageant, the Internet spotted a clear copycat. Miss Vietnam Ngân Anh Lê Âu walked in a gown that looked very familiar. It was a red dress with a cutout along the front and a thigh-high slit.
Coincidence? I think not. Another detail pointed out by netizens is how she fixed her hair at the end of the walk, just like Catriona.
After getting the fourth runner up spot, she addressed her haters on Instagram. After thanking her supporters and fellow contestants she said, “Last but not least, for my bashers, thank you for your negativities to make me become positive-minded person. Thank you for your hurtful words to make me stronger and be a reason for me to pursue my advocacy against cyber-bullying on the world stage.”
After seeing the side-by-side comparisons, it seems clear like Miss Vietnam was highly inspired by Catriona. Now, I don’t condone bullying, but I think she should have thought more about her dress and walk before the competition.
