Mark Bumgarner strikes again with his SS19 collection. At the second day of Bench Fashion Week, the designer gave us a first peek of his latest ready to wear collection: A variety of pieces ranging from daywear to cocktail event separates that look as finely tailored and structured as the ball gowns he’s best known for.
The line definitely evokes summer as pastel pinks, greens, and yellows filled the runway. But what really caught our eye are the two prints he created for this collection—beach and floral.
He also had black and white standout pieces, like this jumpsuit with wide leg trousers. “I had a lot of fun doing really big pants,” Mark told us. That certainly shows in the bold piece that I think could even work as an option for unconventional brides.
Another favorite look of mine is one that features a top with a row of ribbons for sleeves. It’s a top choice to wear to someone’s party. No need to bring presents because the sleeves say it all: you are the present.
His creations were complemented with bright clutches, handbags, and belt bags, as well as jewelry and fun heels—all of which are also from Bumgarner studios.
Already eyeing on items you like? Don’t worry, you can soon avail them at the Green Box store by May this year.
