Heads up: Miley Cyrus is in the studio after breakup announcement

Remember Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz era? The album came out in 2013 and several of the songs allegedly called out Liam Hemsworth for causing their breakup at the time. It’s been six years since then and netizens made a running joke that Miley easily let go of her rebellious Bangerz persona the moment she and Liam got back together. (ie. “Malibu” era)

Now that Miley and Liam have announced their split (again) after less than a year of marriage, fans are predicting “Bangerz 2.0.” Miley seems to have confirmed that because she’s back in the studio.

Fans immediately expressed their excitement to hear another post-breakup record.

According to E! News, Miley and Liam were allegedly “drifting apart” and were trying to make their marriage work for months, but “haven’t felt they were connecting on the level they were feeling when they got married last year.”

After the breakup news came out, Miley was also in the middle of another controversy involving Kaitlynn Carter. The two were spotted on vacation in Italy where they shared a kiss while sunbathing. A source told People they’re not really together, just friends having fun after their respective splits. (Kaitlynn also recently broke up with Brody Jenner)

Both Liam and Brody have spoken up about the situation. The latter just commented, “Viviendo mi vida loca” (Living my crazy life), while the former said his split with Miley is “a private matter” and that he would not be giving any further statements to the press.

If Miley is recording a post-breakup album—or another EP, who knows?—then she’ll have a lot of material to use. For now, we hope she’s doing well because her vacation photos are bomb.
