What was taking over your feeds the whole week? For us, it was New York Fashion Week and posts about the newest iPhone.
Every NYFW, the topics are always about what’s hot next season which include certain pieces and styles, as well as color trends. Similarly, all people could talk about aside from the iPhone 11 Pro’s triple cameras were the new colorways.
It’s true many are iffy about the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max because of how the cameras look, and also because they’d just bought a pricier iPhone XR. But they can’t say no to the pastel hues of the iPhone 11 (yellow, green, and purple) and the 11 Pro in midnight green. We don’t blame them though.
Since people are dead set on copping a bright-colored iPhone, they might as well find an outfit that matches it. So we looked at the latest collections from NYFW for pieces that might pique your interest and match your style.
iPhone 11 Yellow x Sies Marjan
“Elle” officially named yellow as the It-color of spring. The popularity of the color has been on the rise since gen Z yellow was coined. Onewith an eyecatching piece was Sies Marjan, which had a one-shoulder ankle-length dress with a slit on the side and paired with faux scale boots in the same shade. The marigold yellow shade would go well with the lighter iPhone 11.
iPhone 11 Green x Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs’ spring 2020 collection “is a celebration of life, joy, equality, individuality, optimism, happiness, indulgence, dreams.” He translated this through vibrant statement pieces from head to toe including this green mini-dress with an oversized floral hood. If you’re looking to be #extra while complementing your green iPhone 11, this is your cue.
iPhone 11 Purple x Tadashi Shoji
“Glamour” predicts that purple might overthrow pink as the “most Instagrammable color” for 2020. Tadashi Shoji surely used a lot of pale purple fabric for his “Once Upon a Time in Japan” SS20 show. According to “Vogue,” the long silhouettes were reminiscent of kimonos with added lacework and prints. If you have any friends getting married next year and the motif is purple, you know where to get a gown for the occasion.
iPhone 11 (Product)Red x Rebecca Minkoff
(Product)Red is Apple’s initiative to help fund HIV/AIDS treatment and research worldwide. If you buy this iPhone shade, the proceeds will be donated. So it’s only right to pair it with a designer who put forward a great message during NYFW: Rebecca Minkoff. The designer’s presentation showed what it’s like to be a modern working woman, and it included a model breastfeeding her daughter. One section showed models in red and pink pieces that we’d like to wear to work, too. (I’m eyeing the ruffled sleeve top.)
iPhone 11 Pro Midnight Green x Mojuya
Indonesian designer Julianto made his NYFW debut with a presentation of his bridal collection under Mojuya. One piece that got the attention of NYFW’s official IG account was this dark green corset and pants outfit that’s giving us serious Poison Ivy vibes. The metallic finish of the outfit is a good pair with the midnight green iPhone 11 Pro, don’t you think?
