Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will headline Super Bowl’s halftime show

With over 98 million people watching every year, the Super Bowl is one of the biggest concerts in the world. And guess who’s running 2020’s halftime show?

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are sharing the Super Bowl stage on Feb. 2, 2020, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. And it’s going to be a party all right.

Their show is the first to be produced by Roc Nation, an entertainment company founded by rapper and businessman Shawn “Jay Z” Carter.

Shakira took to Twitter to announce their stage.

In a press release, Jennifer said: “Ever since I saw Diana Ross fly off into the sky at the Halftime Show, I dreamed of performing at the Super Bowl. And now it’s made even more special not only because it’s the NFL’s 100th anniversary, but also because I am performing with a fellow Latina. I can’t wait to show what us girls can do on the world’s biggest stage.”

Jennifer Lopez, a Grammy-award winning singer, actress, and producer, has sold over 75 million records and is currently generating award show buzz for her role in female-powered “Hustlers.”

Shakira, also a Grammy winner, has sold over 75 million records worldwide and wrapped up her El Dorado World Tour in November 2018.

“I’m so honored to be taking on one of the world’s biggest stages in the company of a fellow female artist to represent Latinos and Latinas from the U.S. and all over the world—and to top it off, on my birthday!” said Shakira, who will be turning 43 next February. “This is a true American dream and we are going to bring the show of a lifetime!”

Both artists have released chart-topping songs in English and Spanish since the 1990s.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see these two Latinas take over the Super Bowl stage.
