Glitter eyeliners: The best trick to add glitter minus the mess

October to December is officially party season for many of us. If you’re not going to a Halloween bash, you’re probably preparing for Christmas parties at work or with your friends.

This also means one thing: Shimmery glitter makeup will start making rounds once again.

This year, graphic eyeliner and glitter has become popular fall trends. Marie Claire noted that “Euphoria” has inspired several makeup artists and beauty junkies to utilize anything shiny for their looks. For this trend, the focus is on glitter liquid liners that can add subtle shimmer on the lower lash line, or add an over-the-top effect onto your usual winged liner.

It can also be used to draw on shapes, and add details on your eyeshadow or lips without worrying about hard-to-remove chunky glitter. Plus, a lot of cosmetic glitters aren’t biodegradable as well, so you’re better off using products with fine shimmers or liners with a metallic finish.

Start shopping for glitter eyeliners now to go with your lipsticks and liquid eyeshadows. Check out our picks below.

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Gun Metal

Black liner is used to create a winged liner, but some use it to add beauty marks. Just imagine how #extra you’ll look if you have shimmery black and silver dots on your face. But if you’re not into that, you can still stick to the traditional wing to go with your smokey eyeshadow. Available on Sephora PH.

Teviant Amber Glitter Liner

This liner has a thin brush for precise application so it’s easy for you to draw a line on your lids, lower lash line, and even your inner corner. Amber is a buildable rose gold shade—feel free to do a subtle or full-on glitter on your eyes. Available at SM Megamall.

BeYu The Star Liner in Shining Star

Star Liner is made with fine glitter that can be worn on its own or paired with eyeshadow. Shining Star is an intense silver shade that you can apply on top of a black eyeliner or to complete a halo eye. Available on Zalora PH.

VT Cosmetics Super Tempting Glitter Eyeliner in Dawn

Dawn has white glitter that will make any eye look stand out. You can also use this to create glitter tears inspired by Rue from “Euphoria” since it adheres to the skin and is anti-smudging and doesn’t flake off easily. Available on Beauty MNL.

Fenty Beauty Eclipse 2-in-1 Glitter Release Eyeliner in Nepturnt

As usual, Fenty Beauty pulled through with unique-colored glitter liner. According to the brand’s website, the product has a metallic finish and will transform to glitter when you gently rub it with a brush or your finger. Nepturnt is described as a “green-black metallic/smoky emerald glitter shade,” which is perfect for your glam alien look. Available online.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Thirst Trap

Jeffree Star has guaranteed time and time again that his Velour Liquid Lipsticks are eye-safe. Thirst Trap has a metallic beige champagne finish that registers rose gold in certain lighting. Just grab a thin brush and create a winged liner to add oomph to your eyeshadow look. Available online.
