“Star Wars” fans love two things: the movies and the merch that come out when a new one premieres. (At least that’s what I’ve observed.) For “Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker,” there’s going to be whole new makeup collection from none other than makeup artist Pat McGrath.
Pat McGrath Labs announced last night that it’s launching new eyeshadow palettes and lip products inspired by key “Star Wars” characters like R2-D2, C-3PO, and a Stormtrooper. McGrath expressed her excitement for the collaboration with Disney. “The ‘Star Wars’ characters have become integrated into our culture in such a major way that it’s hard to imagine a world without them! Anyone who follows me on social media knows I am obsessed with ‘Star Wars’ and otherworldly galactic opulence ranging from the rebellious beauty of Princess Leia to the gilded glamour of C-3PO.”
First up on the list is a Mothership eyeshadow palette in Galactic Gold ($65) which has six shades, including an imposing gold shimmer similar to C-3PO’s exterior. For a burgundy eye look, there’s also the six-pan Dark Galaxy palette ($65). If you want more eyeshadow options, there’s the 10-pan Mothership IV Decadence: Star Wars Edition palette ($125).
For lip products, there are four Lip Fetish Lip Balm ($40) shades: Flesh 3 (rosy nude), Clear (R2-D2-inspired white), Nude Astral, and Gold Astral (glittery beige).
The limited-edition collection will be available for international shipping via Pat McGrath Labs’ website in mid-December. Now you know where our Christmas bonuses will go (aside from advanced “The Rise of Skywalker” tickets, of course).
