How Barbie and Headspace will be teaching kids about self-care

We’re not the only ones prioritizing self care this year. According to Inquirer Pop! Mattel will be releasing a Barbie Wellness Collection later this year.

Partnering with the popular meditation app Headspace, the collection will feature dolls that use light and sound to help guide kids with mindfulness exercises. On Instagram, the company wanted to put emphasis on “The power in the pause.” Showing kids that it is important ti slow down, focus on yourself, and take some time out of your day to meditate.

The dolls aren’t available yet, but they did post a video on YouTube that gives a glimpse into the guided meditations that will be released later this year. It asks you to focus on your breathing and think of people and things that make you happy. If you’re on your way to work and have a few minutes to spare, try listening to it below or do your own version of meditation before you start your busy day.
