The University of the Philippines Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UPCGWS) joins in on the Pride Month fun as they hold a special YouTube screening of “Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita” on Jun. 15, 2 p.m.
First screened back in 2013, “Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita” tells the story of a 12-year-old girl falling in love with a woman who moves into their small town. Aside from the screening, there will be a Q&A session with the director, Sigrid Andrea Bernardo.
The UPCWGS was established in 1988 by women faculty of the University of the Philippines. Aiming to spread awareness on women and gender issues, the center has four major programs which include research, publication, resource collection and curriculum development.
