Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi FINALLY make their sub-unit MV debut

After Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi made their sub-unit debut yesterday with the release of their mini-album “Monster,” the duo finally dropped the official music video for the title track earlier today.

Red Velvet fans have been keeping their eyes peeled for this since SM Entertainment announced the debut of their first sub-unit back in April. The five-track album was released yesterday at 6 p.m. KST leaving fans in awe of the duo’s techno sound and awaiting the drop of the music video supposedly at the same time. However, the music video did not yet appear on SM Entertainment’s official Youtube channel and left fans furious and confused as to why it was delayed.

After a few minutes, fans discovered an update on SM Entertainment’s website which said that the “Monster” music video would be released at 8 p.m. KST. But once again the music video was nowhere to be found when the clock struck eight. Fans further speculated what caused the delay including some jokingly accusing management of editing out hints of a romance between the two while others pointed out that management could be sabotaging the group.

Now that the music video has finally been released, fans are absolutely living for the vocals, choreography, visuals and chemistry (you have to see it) between Irene and Seulgi.

Check out the music video below (just watch out for that little “jumpscare” at 1:48):
