Twice is holding an online concert, grab on to your candy bongs

Twice just keeps blessing us this year. After their highly anticipated June comeback (which included the return of their beloved member Mina) and the release of their “TWICE: Seize the Light” documentary, the South Korean girl group has announced another thing in the pipeline: an online concert.

The group’s official Twitter account posted the announcement on July 17 along with a poster as well as the time and date: Aug. 9 at 3 p.m. KST (that would be 2 p.m. on the same date for us), along with the concert name “TWICE: World in a Day.” The poster also revealed that the concert will be hosted by the Beyond Live platform, though Soompi notes that it’ll take place through V Live, a South Korean live broadcasting app for celebrities.

According to the same Soompi article, “Beyond LIVE” is an online performance platform that aims to create a brand new concert experience that is optimized to the online experience. It features technology such as live sync camera walking, enhanced 3D graphics, and connects to light sticks that fans have at home so they can change in color and pattern according to the song.”

It was made by a collaboration between SM Entertainment and Naver, and it’s already hosted previous concerts by artists under SM—Twice will be the first non-SM talent to use the platform. We love game-changing queens.
