YG’s newest boy group Treasure is all set for their single album debut

Blackpink is not the only group from YG Entertainment releasing a new album in the upcoming months. New boy group Treasure’s debut single album is coming up and they just put up a full package of merch for pre-order to celebrate the news. For fans new to K-pop, a single album contains one to two songs compared to full and mini albums that contain more music. YG Entertainment announced on July 29 that Treasure’s first single album “The First Step: Chapter One” will be released on Aug. 7.

The group was formed through the survival reality show “YG Treasure Box” that aired from 2018 to 2019. And after two years of waiting, YG Entertainment announced on May 12 that the 12 boys would finally be making their debut in July and released a one-minute-and-22-second concept teaser featuring the boys speaking in English on July 12.

As fans enjoyed all the covers and video clips from their “Treasure Map” series on their social media, YG confirmed today that new music will be coming this August.

Following the announcement, Treasure will be releasing CDs, posters, photobooks, stickers and scratch cards on Aug. 13. Not only this, but there will also be an online fan signing event on Aug. 14. While we’ve already heard what the boys sound like based on their “Going Crazy” dance performance video, we can’t wait for more music on their official debut.
