It’s been a long time coming, but CL’s here now

We’re finally hearing more from CL as she drops a teaser on her Instagram account for her next comeback. And while it doesn’t give much away, the former 2NE1 member appears in the video with the text: “I go by the name of, you already know.” This is a nod to her iconic adlib in 2NE1’s first single “Fire.”

After the group’s disbandment in 2016, CL pursued a solo career and released powerhouse singles like “Hello Bitches.” Back in 2019, it was reported that the singer did not renew her contract with YG Entertainment. In December of the same year, CL dropped unreleased singles which she couldn’t have previously “due to her circumstances.”

We’re not sure on what to expect with CL’s upcoming release, but we do know that a lot of eyes are on her. Within just hours after her Instagram video was posted, different artists commented their support for the former 2NE1 member. Let’s just hope this isn’t just a one-time thing.
