Along with super weird photo selections for birthday greetings on Instagram, Taylor Swift has another, more old-fashioned way of honoring the day you were born: greeting cards—and not the type you email.
Towards the end of playing a word association game with Vanity Fair as their September cover girl, she is asked about items that are always in her purse and answers, “I have a lot of birthday cards because you never know when you’re going to run into somebody and it’s their birthday, and then you can be just like, ‘Oh, wow, you (sic) gave them a birthday card five minutes later.’”
It’s either a move totally coached by the highly effective TSwift PR machine or a lovely gesture developed as a thoughtful southern belle when she moved to Nashville at the age of 14.
Which brings us to the question: Questionable photo choices aside, if Taylor Swift uses a greeting card to greet you on your birthday instead of taking to Instagram, did she really greet you at all? #photosoritdidnthappen
