ICYMI, the girls of Blackpink have officially become Globe ambassadors and they just graced our screens with their new campaign.
On Dec. 27, the telco giant launched a commercial with the girls on their social media platforms and we’re obsessed with their looks. We got to see Jennie don a pair of angel wings, Jisoo surrounded by butterflies like a queen, Rosé “reinventing” her own neon world and Lisa sporting sharp blue eyeliner underwater. The whole thing just made us more excited for the group’s livestream concert “The Show” happening on Jan. 31.
In the video, we could see the girls interacting with virtual characters on top of a catchy track playing in the background. While we’re not sure if the music used was a Blackpink song, the rap verse suspiciously sounds like Lisa.
“We believe that Filipinos have the power to reinvent themselves in this new digital world. With Globe as their life partner, we will open up a world of greater possibilities we’ve never done before. Blackpink embodies the meaning of taking control and reinventing to achieve one’s dreams. We want to inspire our customers to be in control so they can do more and be more, especially with all the new technologies we have today,” said Globe’s Deputy Chief Commercial Officer Issa Guevarra-Cabreira.
Luckily, Globe will not only be bringing Blackpink closer to us through their global livestream concert but will also be throwing in free tickets with food and drink packages for lucky promo subscribers.
“The Show” can be viewed on YouTube for P1,798 (with a rebroadcast), while fans can choose to get additional access to exclusive clips for P2,398. What are you waiting for, Blinks? Grab your lightsticks and have your fanchants ready. We’re counting down the days ‘til we see our girls hit the virtual stage.
