PSA: Hardcore punk band Converge does not provide internet services

Here’s a friendly reminder to direct your angry emails (and comments and PMs) to the right place. You might think you’re sending a complaint to your internet service provider when really, you’re sending it to a hardcore punk band based in the States.

On Jan. 16, the hardcore punk band Converge reminded everyone of this when they posted a photo of people’s comments addressed to the local internet service provider Converge on the band’s page.

“Hey everyone… still just a hardcore band over here. Covid has not forced us to become an internet provider in the Philippines yet, but we hope everyone over there gets their internet access back,” wrote the band.

A cursory look at the group’s Facebook page shows a ton of angry comments about slow internet speeds and payment problems sprinkled throughout actual comments about the band. Seeing that, you can imagine how bad their PM’s might be, RIP.

BTW, if you want to know which Converge to contact, here’s the official page of the service provider.
