‘Pearl Next Door’ is on its way to London to bag some awards

You read that right, our fave GL web-series “Pearl Next Door” is heading to the UK as an official entry to the London Monthly International Web & Short Film Festival (LWF).

The LWF is a monthly international online film festival celebrating everything short. This includes short films, web-series, animation or music videos. Through private screenings before a panel of award-winning actors and directors, the festival gives their critiques on the submissions of people who wish to have their hard work reviewed by professionals from all sectors of the filmmaking industry.

“We know how much blood, sweat, and tears it takes to create your web-series and short films. Be it drama, comedy or the weird and wonderful, LWF was established to celebrate short filmmaking in all its forms,” the group’s mission statement read.

On Jan. 16,  the LWF announced that the IdeaFirst Company’s beloved series “Pearl Next Door” made it to its list of “Official Selections” for the month of January. A selection of entries from the year’s categories such as best short film, best web series, best female performance, best male performance, best directing and many more will be nominated for the annual prize and will be invited to attend the annual awards and live screening event on Dec. 15 in London’s Tottenham Court Road.

We’re definitely rooting for “Pearl Next Door” to bag that best web series award and hopefully more prizes, too. Pearleenlex world domination!
