This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. And I do mean all of us because whether you’re a Swiftie or not, you’re more than likely to know the impact of Taylor Swift’s seminal track “Love Story.” Today, we might have just gotten a huge spoiler for an upcoming pre-Valentine’s Day re-record release of the song as well as its title.
This morning, the phrase “Taylor’s Version” trended on Twitter after the title “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” showed up on Shazam. Fans are speculating that it’s a little oopsie that wasn’t meant to be seen before Taylor makes an announcement herself. I mean we’re talking about the artist who surprised us with two (record-breaking!) albums in 2020. Remember when we had less than 24 hours to prepare for “Folklore” and “Evermore?” We might get a repeat of that.
Fans also trended “Taylor is coming” after Good morning America tweeted that the singer-songwriter will be coming on the show tomorrow to make a surprise announcement. So did the surprise get spoiled? We’ll have to find out, but we’re guessing that Taylor has more secrets up her sleeve. If we’re getting a date for a “Fearless” re-recorded album, we’re going to be among the legions who will burst into tears.
While waiting for a confirmation from Taylor, you might want to check out Ryan Reynold’s wacky commercial starring Satan which used a snippet of the “Love Story” re-record to prep for the news.
So, besties, what are your guesses for the announcement?
