Looks like the pandemic has claimed another celebrity couple.
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have officially called it quits, posting the news of their breakup over on Instagram. “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” they both wrote on their Instagram Stories. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.”
The singers had been dating for two years, with them first sparking hot goss on their relationship status with their collab single “Señorita.” Its music video featured the two starting a sizzling hot romance.
Ever since the two friends went public in September 2019, they’ve become everyone’s top disgustingly sweet couple. Let’s face it: We’ve all rolled our eyes at how cheesy they seemed on social media and in pap shots, secretly wishing it could be us.

Of course, the two have known each other since their teens and collaborated in 2015 when they made the hit “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
Because of this, I know many are going to be devastated over the news. I mean, when I opened up my Facebook and Twitter today, I saw many friends agonizing over love not being real as they reacted to the split.
Of course, not everyone is sad, like my editor who replied, “I’ll take Shawn please.”
