Jodi Sta. Maria’s ‘Doctor Foster’ remake trailer just dropped

If you loved tuning into “World of the Married” last year, then you’re going to love “The Broken Marriage Vow.” The new show starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Zanjoe Marudo, Sue Ramirez, and Zaijian Jaranilla is, like “World of the Married,” a remake of the explosive BBC drama “Doctor Foster.”

If you didn’t know, the premise of all three shows is that a doctor, in the Filipino incarnation named Dr. Jill Valdicano-Ilustre, suspects her husband of having an affair. What follows is a super tense tale of lies and betrayal, and incredibly cathartic revenge. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, as the people say.

“The Broken Marriage Vow” trailer dropped yesterday. In it, we see Sta. Maria sporting a very chic bob as she discovers the details of her husband’s—and their friends’—betrayal.

“Ang mabait na asawa, ’wag na ’wag mong sasagarin,” the trailer says, adding, “Itataas namin ang gigil mo sa mga mang-aagaw.” They know their target audience.

The show itself is going to drop next month. I, for one, am ready to feel the gigil already.
