Will LizQuen star in a ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ adaptation?

Are you missing Moon Gang-tae and Ko Mun-yeong? While the Emmy-nominated romance drama that maturely tackled mental health issues wrapped up in 2020, us Filipinos might be getting more “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” content soon.

Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, otherwise known as LizQuen, are rumored to star in a local adaptation of the show. Kapamilya Online World, an ABS-CBN fan community, broke the story on social media.

If it’s true, we can’t wait—Soberano is a vocal advocate for mental health awareness, and so she would be a great fit for the role. It’s also been a while since we’ve seen the love team on the silver screen since “Make It With You” was canceled in March 2020. It’d be one hell of a comeback.

This is hot off the heels of another super popular Filipino adaptation, “Broken Marriage Vow,” which is an adaptation of “Doctor Foster” and “World of the Married.” Hopefully this will have just as pretty ’fits.

That being said, this is still a rumored project that’s yet to be confirmed. What has been confirmed, however, is that last year, Soberano was in talks to do a project with Bright Vachirawit of “F4 Thailand” and “2gether.” Southeast Asian excellence, we stan.
