Watch: Miley Cyrus Poses as Australian Reporter, Asks People’s Opinions of Her

Miley Cyrus doesn’t really need any help with hyping up her hosting stint this Sunday for the MTV Video Music Awards, but she’s doing the talk show rounds anyway. Last night, she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on a segment called “I Witness News.”

In it, she appears as a TV reporter named Janet with a mousy brown wig, dowdy gray skirt suit, and a flawless Australian accent. To be honest, she was disguised pretty poorly, which makes the segment all the more hilarious when she walks around Hollywood Boulevard asking people about their opinions of her.

One guy in a cowboy hat and a wife beater was pretty ruthless: “I think she’s starving for attention, and that’s why she’s doing it all crazy like that…She’s missing something somewhere.”

To which a straight-faced Miley responded, “You took the words right out of my mouth.”

He continued later in the video saying, “The whole fabric of America’s falling apart, and she’s not doing anything to try and keep it together.” Yowza.

During her actual guesting, however, she and Jimmy talked mostly about her fashion choices ($4 packs of nipple pasties bought off Hollywood Boulevard), why her father is cool with her doing topless shoots, and how her chesticles made Paul McCartney uncomfortable. Okay, so they talked mostly about her boobs for a good six minutes, including her “traumatizing” experience at a nude beach.
